On August 27, ADOR shocked K-Pop fans by announcing that Min Hee Jin had stepped down. The label did not clarify whether Min Hee Jin had agreed to the change.

Min Hee Jin Steps Down As ADOR CEO

In its statement, ADOR named a new CEO, as well as, revealed that the label will now split production duties from its administration responsibilities. ADOR stated that Min Hee Jin will remain as NewJean’s producer.

On August 27, a board meeting was held and Ju Young Kim was chosen to become the new CEO.

Ju Young Kim is an HR expert who has various experiences in the industry and will be tasked with stabilizing ADOR’s internal organization.

Min Hee Jin will remain as an internal director and will continue to be tasked with NewJeans’ production. As such, the production and administration of ADOR will be separated. Previously, ADOR was the only (HYBE) label whose CEO was in charge of both administration and production, and that didn’t follow the multi-label strategy.

With this change, we are going to do our best to work harder for the success of ADOR and NewJeans.
