Min Hee Jin Reappointed As ADOR Director

On April 22, 2024, a public and heated feud began between ADOR’s then-CEO, Min Hee Jin, and ADOR’s parent company, HYBE Corporation. Since then, so much has been on the line, including control of NewJeans and ADOR Entertainment, plagiarism accusations, and the reputation of HYBE and its artists.
On August 27, Ju Young Kim was appointed the new CEO of ADOR, while HYBE claimed Min Hee Jin would continue to be in charge of producing NewJeans. Recently, Min Hee Jin, NewJeans, and the members’ parents have been exposing the alleged mistreatment of the new CEO and HYBE.
According to reports, some changes have been made, as Min Hee Jin has been reappointed as ADOR’s in-house director.
Min Hee Jin has reportedly been reappointed as an in-house director for a three-year term. According to industry sources, including ADOR, the ADOR board of directors held a special shareholders meeting on October 17, 2024 (KST) and passed the agenda to reappoint the former CEO as an in-house director.
The former CEO’s new term as an in-house director will begin on November 2 and last for three years. Min was set to complete her previous term on November 1. It is reported that there were no other agenda items aside from the reappointment of the in-house director.
The former CEO has stated that for NewJeans to be successful, she needs not only the extension of her director term but also a return to the CEO position. Previously, ADOR held a board meeting in August that dismissed the former CEO from her role and appointed Ju Young Kim, an in-house director of ADOR, as the new CEO.
On September 25, ADOR, under Ju Young Kim’s operation, offered to extend the former CEO’s term as an in-house director but stated that her return to the CEO position was not possible.
