It was only after the group formally debuted that fans put two and two together. BTS fans back then expressed some displeasure that the company’s new girl group was promoted through BTS. Others were pleasantly surprised.

On July 23, 2024, ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin revealed that she had not agreed to the feature. In response to HYBE’s most recent accusations made via Dispatch, Min Hee Jin hit back with a screenshot of an email she had sent to HYBE CEO Park Ji Won before NewJeans had debuted. There, she expressed her dissatisfaction in how the company featured the girls in BTS’ music video.

By the way, along with other things including how you featured the trainees for the girl group in BTS’ music video without prior agreement, I have begun to feel that there have been continued impolite actions. I am mindful of the fact that there are many things happening that make it hard for me to trust Source Music or HYBE in the future.
