Min Hee Jin Sues Belift Lab For Slander
On November 22, 2024, it was reported by Korean media that Min Hee Jin, formerly from ADOR, has filed a lawsuit for ₩5.00 billion KRW (about $3.57 million USD) against Belift Lab.
In particular, her legal representatives stated that she had filed an initial suit against Belift Lab’s CEO Kim Tae Ho, Deputy CEO Choi Yoon Hyuk, Creative Director Serian Heu, and vocal coach Lee Ka Jun on charges of defamation under the Information and Communication Network Act. An additional lawsuit for ₩5.00 billion KRW (about $3.57 million USD) was filed against the company itself.
Belift Lab’s CEO had previously claimed in media that Min Hee Jin caused the delay of a civil lawsuit between Belift Lab and herself, to which Min’s legal representative denies. Min Hee Jin filed a counterclaim, and the first hearing will take place in January 2025. In addition, Min’s representative stated that the past video statements made by Belift Lab contained “numerous falsehoods” and that they would be suing for liability for damages due to the videos as well. One of the videos can be viewed below.
Min Hee Jin’s lawsuit comes after Belift Lab’s ₩2.00 billion KRW (about $1.43 million USD) lawsuit against Min Hee Jin for damages caused to their groups and company due to her plagiarism accusations.
