Minzy has personally announced that she has come to an agreement with Music Works and has left the company.
In a series of posts on her personal Twitter account, Minzy announced she will be leaving the company and her future plans as a soloist. She also attached a new picture of herself.
새 출발합니다. 오늘부로 소속사를 떠나서 자유를 얻었습니다. 늘 지지해주시는 팬 분들을 위해서라도 소속사와 협상해서 분쟁을 빨리 끝냈습니다. 최근 몇년간 활발히 활동하는 모습을 못 보여드려 마음 한켠에 늘 아쉬움이 있었는데 지금부터는 더 자주, 더 멋진 모습 보여드릴 수 있게 되었습니다!

I am starting new. As of today, I will be leaving my agency to become a free agent. I chose to end my dispute with my agency as soon as I could for my fans who have always been supporting me. I was disappointed that I could not promote a lot for the past couple of years, but now, I can show everyone a better side of me!
I will greet everyone in the future with a brighter and more confident image on stage, an image that fits the name of Minzy. I will also try my best to communicate with my fans more often!!

Back in October 2019, Minzy filed an injunction to terminate her contract with Music Works. She lost her case in December 2019, but filed an appeal shortly after.
