Minzy’s first activity since 2NE1 breakup confirmed
The second season of Slam Dunk Unnies may see a line-up of girl group members and slated to join them is former 2NE1 member Minzy.
On January 12, a KBS official confirmed that the upcoming season of Slam Dunk Unnies will follow a new format that includes girl group members. This follows last year’s successful “sister project” format.
At present, the new season is scheduled to air in February and the members will, in the meantime continue to discuss its concept, theme, and more.
After Minzy’s departure from YG Entertainment last May, Minzy moved to Music Works to continue as a solo artist. This will be Minzy’s first television project since her contract expired with her former agency and 2NE1 disbanded.
Slam Dunk Unnies also changed the format of their program after their first season on KBS. The program started in April 2016 and includes original members Ra Mi Ran, Kim Sook, Hong Jin Kyung, Min Hyo Rin, Jessi, and Tiffany. Tiffany left the program prematurely due to her controversy while Min Hyo Rin and Jessi announced their departure early this month.
KBS hopes for a better season with their new line-up.
