Mnet Releases Stunning Special Stage Featuring “Kingdom” Participants
Ahead of Mnet‘s Kingdom, which will start airing in April, M Countdown treated fans to a special stage featuring the contestants participating: ATEEZ, BTOB, iKON, SF9, Stray Kids, and THE BOYZ.
Each of the six groups involved was represented by a member. The member then showcased their amazing talent to give viewers a taste of what they can expect from their groups during Kingdom.
1. Juyeon (THE BOYZ)
The first group on the special stage was THE BOYZ, who earned their place in the show by winning the preliminary show Road to Kingdom. Juyeon showcased a dark and sinister routine full of emotions and passion with his stunning visuals and exceptional talent!
2. Lee Know (Stray Kids)
Lee Know was the next idol to perform, representing his group Stray Kids! The performance felt powerful and dynamic as Lee Know took on a wolf’s persona in a dark forest. Alongside his expressive and detailed dancing, a story was told that resembled something from a fairy tale or a nightmare!
3. San (ATEEZ)
ATEEZ’s San continued this dark theme into his dance! Dressed in a black suit with bloodied bandages around his torso and hands, it was a modern concept with sharp choreography! Unlike the other performances, San ended his by throwing a flower on the floor, adding to the mysterious vibe throughout.
4. Minhyuk (BTOB)
Rapper Minhyuk from BTOB was the first of the groups to embrace a less sinister theme. With bright lights illuminating the stage, Minhyuk showcased an elegant and contemporary performance that personifies what fans expect from BTOB: simplicity, style, and quality.
5. Taeyang (SF9)
SF9’s main dancer Taeyang then changed the atmosphere again in a performance that had a regal feeling about it set against a softer backdrop. Dressed in a light blue suit, Taeyang combined modern and traditional dance moves that created something both dynamic and elegant.
6. DK (iKON)
The special stage ended with iKON’s main dancer DK! Like Taeyang, his dance also had a more traditional feeling to it but with brighter colors and bolder effects! Dressed in the traditional Korean hanbok, DK blended new and old flavors in both the music and choreography. With his exaggerated lines and charismatic facial expressions, it felt like a festival performance!
The performances were great teasers for what fans can expect from the group once Kingdom officially starts in April!
