TXT Fans Wave Palestinian Flags During Concert

They handed them out as freebies.

TXT are currently on the U.S. leg of their 2024 TOMORROW X TOGETHER WORLD TOUR <ACT : PROMISE>, which kicked off in Tacoma on May 14. They performed in Rosemont, Illinois, at Allstate Arena on June 5 and will perform on June 6.

Banner projects are often part of K-Pop concerts, as fans hold up banners during specific songs to communicate a message to idols, usually of love and appreciation. Yet, MOAs (TXT fans) held a different type of project for the Rosemont concerts.

At this time, MOAs have been trending #MOAsforPalestine, #SpeakUpLikeThatTXT, and #HybeDivestFromZionism via X (formerly Twitter), as netizens have been attempting to keep their favorite idols informed on the ongoing Israeli attacks against Gaza in any way possible. Over 36K Palestinians have been killed, and thousands have been injured, starved, displaced, and lost loved ones since October. Many are hoping to make a difference, donating to those in need, using social media platforms to comment, trend hashtags, and organize boycotts.

As part of this project, MOAs handed out Palestinian flags on Day 1 of TXT’s Rosemont concerts as part of the freebie exchange. MOAs plan to hand out more on June 6, too.

The MOAs succeeded in their distribution and project. Concert-goers were asked to hold up the flags during “Miracle” and encore, and many were spotted doing so in the crowd.

Fans have long been calling for TXT’s label BIGHIT MUSIC‘s parent company, HYBE, to divest from Zionism. Read more below.
