MONSTA X‘s Minhyuk was discharged from the 5th Infantry Division in Yeoncheon-gun, Gyeonggi-do on October 3. He reunited with his members, including the currently enlisted ones, who came to celebrate his discharge.

On October 6, Minhyuk held 2024 MINHYUK Fan Event <Let’s GO!5rae>, a special fanmeeting to reunite with MONBEBEs (MONSTA X fans).

During the event, Minhyuk acknowledged a photo that went viral while he was in the military. It appeared Minhyuk had gone to church.

Minhyuk confessed his ulterior motives. Choco pies, a popular snack in South Korea, especially among soldiers, were being given out at the church, and he wanted to eat them.

MONBEBEs weren’t too surprised but rather amused by Minhyuk’s confession. While some members of MONSTA X are Christians, Minhyuk has been known to be non-religious, so they had initially been more surprised by his sudden church attendance.
