We would like to thank everyone for their concern and words of encouragement. She hopes to meet you all in the future in full health.”

Moon Geun Young complained of sudden pain in her right arm on February 1. The following day, she was diagnosed with acute compartment syndrome and underwent emergency surgery. Unfortunately, her appearances in the play Romeo and Juliet had to be canceled.
Acute compartment syndrome is caused by a pressure buildup inside of a muscle, causing severe pain. If left untreated, the pressure can decrease blood flow to the affected area, depriving muscles of oxygen. Any delays in treatment can lead to loss of muscle function and necrosis.
