Music Bank Reportedly Announced A New Strict Ban Against Fans Taking Photos Or Videos Of Idols
Music Bank is reportedly putting strict new rules against its signature photo op event where fans and media reporters can take photos of the idols on their morning commute to the broadcast station.
The event, known as “Music Bank Commute (뮤직뱅크 출근길)“, was an opportunity where massive amount of fans came from all over the world to get a close glimpse of all of the idols performing that day.
Hundreds would line up behind barricades with large cameras to get photos and videos of the idols. They would arrive as early as 3 am and stay until after the broadcast airs.
KBS announced that they will be banning fans from taking any photos or videos of the idols. They claimed it was in order to prevent dangerous accidents that arise from competitive fans trying to get close to the idols, as well as the artists’ rights.
News reporters will be able to take photos (but not videos) of the idols as usual.
Excessive competition to film the artists on their commute to appear on KBS’s program <Music Bank> has caused dangerous accidents. In order to prevent these dangers and to prevent infringement of rights from filming artists without their consent, we would like to limit the Music Bank Commute photo event to the restrictions listed below.

KBS revealed that they are planning to take videos of the morning commute and air it for fans to see through their own media channel.
We are planning on releasing videos of the artists’ commute through KBS’s news media channel for the audience and hallyu fans.

This means that fans will not be able to catch special moments of their idols on their personal cameras. They will only be allowed to see the idols through photos taken by news reporters and KBS.
That means no more legendary photos of the idols taken by fans.
