Strict Rules For Idols Showing Nipples On Music Shows Earned ATEEZ Mingi’s A Legendary Nickname
Male idols aren’t afraid to show some skin on stage, but there are some restrictions that the likes of ATEEZ do their best to follow.
On May 4, ATEEZ members appeared on the iconic The K Star Next Door.
During the video, Jonathan got a bit confused upon reading the next keywords and spoke about how the majority of music shows have a rule that only one nipple can be shown during performances.
He then confirmed with Wooyoung that on music shows, you are allowed to show one nipple at a time, not both.
Mingi then joked that you could alternate nipples, and Yunho did a hilarious demonstration of what idols could do to bypass the rule but still not get into trouble.
San then confirmed this by saying that if both are on show, he makes sure that only one is seen during the broadcast at one time.
As San explained that a double nipple show could impact the agency, Seonghwa was reminded of the iconic 2019 MAMA Awards moment with Mingi.
He explained that during their performance, Mingi alternated between the nipples seen.
They then cut to the actual clip that took netizens (and even the idols watching) by shock.
San joked that Mingi showed his left nipple, right nipple, and then both during the performance.
It hilariously led to Wooyoung exposing a nickname they made for Mingi because of this, and it was “Song Minipple.”
Mingi created a truly iconic moment at the awards show, and while he followed the “one nipple” rule for most of the performance, nobody could complain about accidentally showing both.
