NCT DREAM’s Haechan Spills On What The Members Talk About Now That They’re All Adults
NCT DREAM‘s Haechan recently got candid about what the members’ conversations are like now that they are all adults.
In his first solo magazine interview, Haechan got real about his work and how he feels different depending on which NCT unit he is in. After all, he is the youngest member in NCT 127…
…but one of the ‘middle siblings’ in NCT DREAM. The difference in age is bound to make for a different dynamic.
Speaking with Star1 magazine, Haechan revealed that he feels there is a noticeable difference between NCT 127’s Haechan and NCT DREAM’s Haechan, both musically and personality-wise.
If one describes me as the mischievous, cute maknae in NCT 127, in NCT DREAM I am right between the hyung-line and the maknae-line. I’m dependable but I do take the lead on NCT DREAM’s cheerful vibes as well – it seems I’m able to show varying charms.#HAECHAN #해찬 pic.twitter.com/B7W3tW3iNg

Yet, while NCT 127 are on average the oldest members of NCT, NCT DREAM are now all officially adults as well, meaning that their own dynamic has changed a lot since they first made their debut, which Haechan noted in the interview.
Q: Does the growth of DREAM feel real [to you]?

Journalist Park Seung Hyun pointed out that this change must also be felt in the conversations that the members have. And according to Haechan, now that the members have all reached a new stage of their lives, they have begun talking about how they want to change their image to reflect that.
Q: As of last year, all of NCT DREAM’s members turned adults. I’m curious what conversations arose.

The members feel that, as a group, they have matured beyond the naivety of youth…

…and they are now more motivated than ever to reach their maximum potential and really show what they can do.

While Haechan and the members feel that they did their best and accomplished much in each era, they are still continuing to improve as they make note of all their strengths.
More than anything, if I were to compare the early days of NCT DREAM to now, I think there are things we are capable of doing well in each era. To capture and express that on stage is [what it means to] have grown naturally.#HAECHAN #해찬

As the members grow older, it’s nice to see how their approach to their art grows with them. And it’s even nicer to see how much they take this growth to heart, as evidenced by these conversations that they’re having!
