NCT Fans Clap Back At Popular SEVENTEEN Fan Account For Criticizing Haechan

They posted an official apology.

Recently, SEVENTEEN’s Seungkwan and Jeonghan appeared on NCT‘s Muk2U, a YouTube series hosted by Doyoung and Haechan. For this episode, member Jungwoo also appeared as a special MC. While fans knew they were friends, they were shocked to find out they were much closer than they had thought!

I’m quickly watching the show now, but NCT and SEVENTEEN are 500 million times closer than I thought, and have a really deep relationship. If you look at it, it just seems like five guys having a comfortable meal together.

SEVENTEEN and NCT’s small gathering. It starts with Jungwoo Seungkwan Doyoung and Jeonghan’s friendship. Then Haechan, Mark, Vernon, Joshua, and Dino joins.

While fans of both fandoms were happy to see this friendship, an online post by a popular SEVENTEEN fan account received criticism for talking negatively about Haechan.

“There’s nothing really set so I guess the two of them kept trying to keep the conversation going.

Also CARATs (myself included) are used to a more clean and structured hosting style…

Lolol but the last ten minutes wasn’t that bad, right? I guess I need to at least make this part meaningful.

But Haechan, why did you come on the show? I, too, will write a hate comment.”

Fans that saw the conversation were angry and shocked that a big fan account would post comments like this in public.

The more I think about this, it’s more funny now rather than angry. The show itself is called Kim Dong Lee Dong’s Muk2u! And they are asking a ‘clever’ question of why Haechan is on the show? This is like saying ‘why is Jungwoo come on here’ on his video.

I came online for the first time in a while, and what is all this…The people criticizing Haechan need to understand what the program’s content is about. This show is NCT’s self-made content,, with other people as guests. Please think before saying something. Fans’ hearts are being ripped apart seeing things like this.

I was busy with my personal life that I didn’t know about this. So another fandom asked why Haechan appears on ‘Muk2U’? What do you guys know lol. This show is a self-made content by Doyoung and Haechan and SEVENTEEN are the guests. It’s not your content. But people saying stupid questions like this makes me so mad.

As the situation started to become a hot topic, the fan account in question posted an apology letter online before changing their account to private.

“I talked negatively about another idol member while talking with a friend. From now on, I will think ten, twenty times before saying something. I sincerely apologize to the fans who were hurt by this. I am truly sorry.

I am aware of how hurtful it is to have someone precious mentioned negatively even in passing. I made a mistake while talking jokingly with a friend. I know he is a hard-working member, and I really like his vocals. I am sorry to all the fans who were shocked by this.”

However, NCT fans were even more frustrated at their apology letter, and criticized them for not knowing the proper way to apologize. Most recently, the fan account has posted another official apology online.

“I wish to extend my sincerest apologies for the thoughtless comments I made during my recent interaction on social media. While watching the NCT’s Muktuyu content uploaded yesterday, I was chatting with a mutual who uses a private account, and I left a tweet containing something hurtful to the hc fans and the singer by mentioning [I’m also leaving a bad tweet: Why is ㅎㅊ there?], and I apologize for these inconsiderate words to Haechan and his fans. I sincerely do.

When I said ‘also’ in the context, it wasn’t a bad comment from a friend I was talking to, but rather an inadvertent comment I made by playfully imitating something that ended up going with the ‘why did you even come out’ tone. After I reflected on it I realized it was crossing the line. Although the tweet didn’t mention hc’s full name but only initials, I assume it was possible to guess who it was from the circumstances, so I think fans who were searching by initials got very upset. I sincerely apologize for this whole mistake I’ve made. I now fully realize I should have been more thoughtful and considerate in this public space. Again, I am sorry for Haechan and his fans.

If I may, however, if you type in and search my account name, you’ll find countless death threats, suicide calls, and unspeakable language. I’ll be careful not to let anything bad happen again, so I hope you’ll accept my insufficient apology and halt the personal attacks and violent insults to my family.

(To those HC fans who have reached out with kindness and understanding, I am genuinely grateful. Your willingness to educate me has not gone unnoticed, and I am committed to learning from this experience. Please accept my assurance that I will exercise greater sensitivity and thoughtfulness in my interactions moving forward.)

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.”

Even with a more formal apology posted, fans were still frustrated that they talked about the hate they were receiving, when they should be genuinely be apologizing about their actions.

They’re scared of getting hate comments, so they hide comments, but it’s okay to joke about someone else? If you’re going to write an apology, just write a direct and clean one. Our idol is just as precious to you as yours. I can’t understand why someone who knows this would do this.

Why are thehy saying to stop writing hate comments about them when they wrote a hate comment first on other people’s special someone. They are so selfish.

They are the ones that said they were going to write a hate comment about Haechan…and yet they’re expressing it’s hard receiving hate and threats online…If you’re going to write an apology, just write the apology.  Are you someone that’s allowed to post malicious comments to an idol?

What do you think of this situation? Meanwhile, watch the episode below.
