NCT’s Haechan Admits To Smoking Indoors, SM Entertainment Releases Official Statement

NCT’s Haechan was recently accused of smoking indoors. Smoking indoors will induce a fine in South Korea, leading fans to worry about the star.

On January 11, 2024, SM Entertainment acknowledged Haechan’s mistake through a statement to Korean media outlet EDaily. They admitted that he had used an electronic cigarette indoors and would be paying the fine as issued.

We deeply apologize for concerning many people with his careless actions. In a video of NCT 127’s dance practice uploaded on January 10th, we verified that Haechan had been using an electronic cigarette indoors. Today, we received a fine from the relevant health department and will be paying it off. We will pay special attention so that such matters do not arise in the future.
