NCT Jungwoo’s “Involvement” In Sex Scandal Accidentally Debunked By Super Junior’s Heechul
On June 3, 2024, NCT‘s Haechan and Johnny were accused of having slept with fans at a hotel in Japan.
The allegations, which have since been denied by SM Entertainment, alleged the idols had a fiveway with three girls. Details later alleged that the women were sex workers, and Super Junior‘s Heechul was also implicated, with one of the women posting an alleged photo of him.
This left many wondering if Heechul introduced her to NCT, or if they had hung out at any time.
Super Junior’s Heechul Implicated In NCT Haechan And Johnny’s Sleeping Allegations — He Responds
NCT’s Jungwoo was also mentioned by one of the women involved. In a selfie image, she claimed that “only Jungwoo came.”
Due to the timing of these secondary rumors, NCT‘s Jungwoo’s involvement was linked to Heechul by many netizens.
Netizens now believe that Heechul also accidentally debunked Jungwoo’s “involvement.”
Heechul denied the allegations in a Dear U. Bubble message, though netizens were skeptical. In the message, he stated that he did not meet with juniors, seeming to address the allegations with Jungwoo.
“I’ve been keeping an eye on it anyway. I’m worried I’ll cause an incident on Instagram again, so I’ve just been talking to the company. I’m going to give a brief statement here in case you guys will worry or be disappointed. I’ve never met nor had a meal or drunk with any of our company juniors outside of work before. I don’t even have their contact numbers.”

Netizens continued to investigate and found that the photos were likely taken on or around June 23, based on a post made by one of Heechul’s friends, celebrating a birthday. The friend whose face is fully visible is also in this image, wearing what appears to be the same outfit.
Based on the date the image was shared, netizens used Jungwoo’s schedule to clear him of this allegation. On July 23, 2023, Jungwoo was spotted at Incheon Airport headed to the Philippines for NCT DoJaeJung‘s Fan Concert in Manila, which took place the following day.
