NCT’s Mark Lee Lookalike Contest Makes National News
Recently, a new trend has popped up in the United States involving celebrity lookalikes.
First occurring in New York with a contest to find the closest lookalike of actor Timothee Chalamet, during which the actor actually showed up, more contests involving other celebrities have popped up.

..others have been posted as a joke, including one shared announcing a contest for NCT‘s Mark Lee lookalikes.
A flyer announcing this competition went viral online, seemingly as a joke as the prize listed was watermelon, which is known to be Mark’s favorite fruit.
However, it seems this contest might have been given a big push into legitimacy and will actually happen!
Following the posting of the “announcement,” more than one media outlet reported on the contest, including eyesmagazine.
In addition to this, Korean news outlets also reported on the contest, including SBS, which did an entire segment on it. The basic details of the contest, including the creators, @brokekpopgirls on Instagram, were included in the report.
The contest is set to take place on December 7, just days before NCT DREAM is to perform at Madison Square Garden as part of the 2024 Jingleball Tour. You can check out the SBS coverage below.
