He gets real about his main rapper position.

NCT‘s Mark recently caught up with soloist Eric Nam while filming the latest episode of the Daebak Show, and together, the two discussed Mark’s debut days, NCT U‘s long-awaited “Baggy Jeans” release, his friendships with fellow K-Pop idols, NCT 127‘s comeback, and more.

Mark is truly an all-rounder as a member of K-Pop boy group NCT and three of its sub-units, NCT 127, NCT U, and NCT DREAM, in addition to being a member of SM Entertainment supergroup SuperM.

While Mark specializes in rap and provides his vocal and dance talents to the groups, Eric wanted to know what the multi-group member preferred.

Mark replied by telling Eric about his audition for SM Entertainment. He began by stating that he likes to “sing more than anything,” but after singing during the audition, the company asked if he could also rap. Even though he said he couldn’t, he became one of NCT’s main rappers.

The NCT member hilariously said it gives him “chills” to see “Canadian rapper” when he googles his name, stating that he “never considered” or “labeled” himself as a rapper.

While Mark doesn’t consider himself a rapper, he is celebrated for his rapping talents by fans and netizens alike.

The NCT member concluded that whenever he has time to pursue solo music in the future, he plans to show a different side of himself, saying he doesn’t plan for the release to be “entirely rap.

During the episode, Mark also dreamed up a K-Pop supergroup of his own. Check out the article below to see who he would choose to be in the group!
