RIIZE’s Shotaro Accidentally Throws Up The NCT Sign In Photos — Fans Heartbroken

Muscle memory can be scary.

RIIZE’s Shotaro was once a member of NCT. He made his debut through “Make A Wish” as part of NCT 2020, before going incognito once more. After a long two years of waiting, it was announced that he would be joining SM Entertainment’s new boy group, RIIZE. He withdrew from NCT along with Sungchan.

RIIZE recently headed to Los Angeles for KCON LA 2023. During RIIZE’s photo time in front of the fans, Shotaro was seen doing NCT’s trademark “N” hand sign.

The other members were simply seen posing with peace signs.

Shotaro must’ve been used to doing NCT’s hand sign. The sign has been used as NCT’s greeting ever since their debut.

Shotaro was planning on doing the sign for “LA,” but ended up doing NCT’s sign out of habit. Ever the pro, his expression did not waver as he corrected himself quickly.

Fans of NCT were devastated. They miss Shotaro as a member of the group dearly.

Others compared his silly blunder to when SHINee’s Taemin accidentally signed for SuperM rather than SHINee.

Muscle memory can truly be a scary thing! While many may miss his time as part of NCT, Shotaro has a new home now with RIIZE.
