Fact Check: Was NCT’s Taeil At A Night Club Right After His Injury?

In August 2023, NCT‘s Taeil was involved in an accident that left his leg broken.

Since then, the idol has been on hiatus as he healed but was able to participate in NCT 127‘s most recent comeback, Be There For Me.

However, outside of official content, Taeil spottings have been far and in between as the idol missed out on the final dates of NCT 127’s The Unity tour. This means fans have been hyper-aware of any potential photos of Taeil.

Recently, fans got a somewhat unexpected update!

A user on X shared a photo of a man alleged to be Taeil, claiming he was at a nightclub. There was no date attached to this image that shows someone strongly resembling the idol, in addition to a tag of his Instagram name.

The photo was attached to a quote from Taeil’s teaser video from NCT 127’s Fact Check, implying the image was from around that time, after his injury.

However, it is believed the photo is actually from July before he was injured. In early July, it was reported that Taeil attended singer Moon Sujin‘s birthday party, which took place at a club.

The image also shows Taeil with darker hair, which did not align with the alleged timing of the original tweet. Before his injury, Taeil dyed his hair blond, and due to the now-deleted teaser image showing his injury, it was that color past the times the tweet alleged.

Fans have reacted to the image, defending the idol from untrue allegations and his ability to do whatever he wants as a young adult.
