Amid the controversy surrounding NCT’s collaboration with Starbucks, netizens were shocked when Taeyong posted an Instagram story with the word “Boycott” on it. The photos were spread across social media and Korean forum pages from different phones to show it was real.

When netizens noticed what happened, they rushed to his account, but it seemed to have been quickly deleted. Netizens screenshotted the stories and shared how happy they were that Taeyong shared his response and showed solidarity and that he was probably made to delete the post by SM Entertainment.

It is unclear why Taeyong deleted the post, and netizens speculate that it was due to the group and SM Entertainment’s links with the brand.
