It was officially announced to happen on September 26, and the day before, the idol shared a message with fans on Weverse. The idol assured fans he would stay healthy throughout his service and return in 2026.

The idols are known to be friends, with Jeonghan even doing a dance cover of Taeyong’s “Tap” during SEVENTEEN’s fan meeting.

Many fans of both idols found the shout out relatable, recalling when Taeyong commented on Jeonghan’s post about his hair cut. Many also felt emotional over the surprising display of friendship at this time.
