NCT 127 recently appeared on Zico’s Artist to promote their comeback, “Walk.” During an interview segment, the boys talked about their difficult choreography. In particular, the choreography for “Firetruck” during their rookie days was extremely difficult. The boys had to lift Haechan up and move him around in midair.

Yuta spoke up about the part, explaining how he had to ask Haechan to refrain from eating before performances.

It was the part where Haechan was lifted up. So I always told Haechan not to eat. We had practiced so much that we could tell when his weight changed. So if he ate, I got annoyed at him and asked, ‘you ate, right?’

It seems like the incident has been brought up before. On another interview show, the members recounted the time where Yuta told Haechan not to eat.

Fans are extremely sensitive about the matter, as Haechan was still a teen back then.

Although Yuta was also injured during promotions back then, fans feel that he should have brought the matter up to the choreographers, rather than put the responsibility on Haechan.

On the other hand, some defend Yuta, claiming that Haechan has also brought up the other members’ weight on various occasions.

Some also maintain the opinion that fans are not privy to the internal dynamics of the group and their friendship.
