“The Trunk” Stars Gong Yoo And Seo Hyun Jin React To Their Steamy Kiss Scenes

For a K-Drama star, kissing a coworker is just part of the job. That said, even the most seasoned stars can get flustered sometimes!

Netflix‘s The Trunk follows Seo Hyun Jin as No In Ji (a contract marriage provider) and Gong Yoo as Han Jeong Won (a lonely music producer). This series shocked viewers with its steamy sex scenes, but it also features heart-fluttering romantic moments between the leads.

In an interview for Netflix, Seo Hyun Jin and Gong Yoo discussed their complex characters and shared behind-the-scenes trivia. They also reacted to some of their kiss scenes. The first scene, where Gong Yoo’s character leaned in for a kiss without any warning, left Seo Hyun Jin speechless. “Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Gong Yoo exclaimed. “Doesn’t even turn on his blinkers and changes lanes.” 

“Ahjussi!” Seo Hyun Jin said in response to her costar’s comment, jokingly calling him old.

As the intensity dialed up, so did their reactions. “That’s enough!” Gong Yoo said, playfully scolding the characters. Seo Hyun Jin covered her face during most of the scene and fanned herself, feeling the heat.

This wasn’t the only kiss scene the staff slipped into the interview. When another kiss scene began to play, both actors burst out laughing. Gong Yoo joked, “They never miss an opportunity, do they?” 

Seo Hyun Jin mentioned that the director had complimented Gong Yoo’s kissing skills, but Gong Yoo said that the director was teasing him.
