Netflix’s “365 Days” Actor Michele Morrone Calls Out Korea’s “THE SHILLA” Hotel For Racism
Italian actor Michele Morrone, who gained fame through Netflix‘s movie 365 Days, is currently visiting Korea. The actor made news when he alleged mistreatment at the prestigious Shilla Hotel in Seoul and further alleged he was a victim of racism.
On October 27, the actor wrote to fans on his Instagram, warning visitors to steer clear of the famed hotel.
If you wanna visit Seoul NEVER go to Shilla hotel. [sic]

The actor then alleged that the hotel had disrespected him and that the reason may be due to racism.
Probably the internal politics of this hotel teaches disrespect to people who come from a culture other than the asian one. [sic]

The Shilla Hotel is one of Korea’s most prestigious landmark hotels. It is run by famed CEO Lee Bu Jin, who is the sister to current Samsung leader Lee Jae Yong and the daughter of late Samsung chairman Lee Kun Hee.
The hotel is also a favorite wedding venue among celebrities and Korea’s elite. Celebrities such as Song Joong Ki, Kim Yuna, Yoo Jae Suk, Jun Ji Hyun, and Yoon Kye Sang all held their wedding ceremonies at the hotel.
Michael Morrone is an Italian actor, singer, and fashion designer. He earned worldwide fame after playing the role of Massimo Torricelli in Netflix’s hit movie 365 Days.
