Netizen Shares Close-Up Interaction With Suspected UnitedHealthcare CEO Killer Luigi Mangione

Recently, the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson has made headlines around the world.
On December 4, Thompson was shot and killed outside of a hotel in New York City. The suspect in the murder was not immediately known and was only named a person of interest days after the shooting occurred.
The suspect, Luigi Mangione, was captured in another state and is currently facing charges related to the case.
In the days since the internet has investigated Mangione’s life in an effort to understand why he possibly committed the crime he is accused of. Due to the state of healthcare in the United States, the crime has not been as condemned as another murder might have been.
As a result, Mangione has achieved a sort of fame online, with many understanding his potential motive and having sympathy.

In the days after his capture, a Chinese netizen took to a social media platform to talk about their past interactions with the suspected shooter. The netizen shared that a friend was a roommate of Mangione while living in Hawaii and that he was “talkative and bright.”
They shared that their friend said Mangione was “very sweet” and even replaced an ice cream that someone had eaten.
