Netizens Catch The Hyundai Motor Group Chairman Attending The Bruno Mars Concert in Korea
From June 17 to 18, Bruno Mars‘s concert in Seoul was packed out with enthusiastic fans and many top Korean celebrities. Among the celebrity guest list were the Hyundai Motor Group chairman and the Hyundai Card vice president.
On June 19, photos of Chairman Chung Eui Sun at the Bruno Mars concert were posted on various online communities. In one of the photos, he was dressed in a simple white t-shirt and blue jeans, holding a coffee as he walked into his seat. Netizens noticed that his seat was in the designated area right in front of the stage.
Another photo showed the chairman shaking hands with the Hyundai Card vice president, dressed in a yellow button-up shirt. The vice president, Chung Tae Young, is the chairman’s brother-in-law.
After the concert, Chung Tae Young uploaded an Instagram photo with Bruno Mars. He was dressed in the same outfit as he wore to the concert, which may imply it was the same day. In the caption, he wrote about his yellow shirt.
I’ve never seen Bruno Mars like this before, and he was very interested in my shirt, so I wore it for two days at the concert… Bruno Mars had a cheerful and lovely personality.

He even uploaded a picture of Bruno Mars’s LP signed by the singer himself.
Netizens interpreted the two Hyundai businessmen attending the concert as a reflection of the flexible organizational culture philosophy Chung Eui Sun always emphasizes. And many netizens exclaimed their surprise at a billionaire CEO attending a concert, some saying he was the “biggest influencer to attend the Bruno Mars concert” and others saying he was the “ultimate celebrity to attend the concert.”
The Bruno Mars concerts were part of Hyundai Card’s annual cultural project, “Super Concert,” which invites musicians worldwide to perform. This year’s “Super Concert” with Bruno Mars broke the record for having the largest audience of 101,000 people.
Netizens speculated that Hyundai Card gave celebrities special treatment through separate invitations, making it difficult for general fans to get good seats. Vice President Chung Tae Young dismissed the controversy, saying the only celebrity in question is Bruno Mars and that Hyundai Card does not do celebrity marketing.
