Netizens Criticize HYBE’s Latest Round Of Global Auditions

They will soon host global auditions.

HYBE will soon be hosting their next round of global auditions. This time, they are looking for males born after 2006. Apart from auditions, they will also host an event in Orange County for anyone to come and chill. Promising game booths and more, the event is a casual hangout for people in the OC who don’t want the pressure of a formal audition.

Apart from the event, they will also hold auditions in LA, Hawaii, the OC, Vancouver, Toronto, Sydney, Melbourne, and Auckland. For those who can’t make it to physical rounds, you can audition online. Any male born after 2006 is welcome to join.

The age limit makes sense, given that most of the maknaes in HYBE’s latest generation of idols range from between 2005 to 2007. With TWS being the latest debut from HYBE, some time will be needed before the next batch is prepared for debut. Despite this, netizens have come down hard on the label. Many believe that HYBE is growing more and more factory-like.

  • The reason why they’re only making boy groups is because they don’t have money, right?
  • A factory.
  • Again?
  • They should make their current artists practice more. This isn’t a factory. Stop producing idols who can’t even sing.
  • They’re running it like a factory.
  • Even if they’re talentless and ugly, they’ll pick them first and make them into number one artists with their knowhow, so I’m sure many want to enter HYBE.
  • The idols here are just like dolls produced in a factory.

This is not the first time that HYBE has faced flak for “ruining K-Pop” with their mass-produced idols. Read more about it below.
