Fans Demand Kim Shin Young To Step Down As Radio DJ Despite Apologizing For PLAVE Controversy
There are growing concerns that comedian and TV personality Kim Shin Young’s controversy over her thoughts on virtual idol group PLAVE can be seen as “excessive criticism.”
Previously, on February 16, Kim Shin Young stated that she still couldn’t get used to PLAVE’s storyline and that it was hard for her to accept the “new culture.”
In response, she received criticism from fans as they demanded an apology.
On February 17, she opened her radio broadcast by accepting all the opinions about her statement and apologized to both the fans and the artist.
Through this, I once again felt the weight of every word and the responsibility of a radio DJ. I will be more careful in the future and will support PLAVE, who has worked harder than anyone to be on the path they are on.
However, even with her apology, some fans demanded that she step down from her position as a radio DJ. With malicious comments posted on social media, many also show concern for Kim Shin Young.
The radio broadcast also posted a message online regarding the comments.
