Korean Netizens Divided On Fifth-Generation Idol’s Tattoo Being Similar To G-Dragon
Recently, an online community board garnered much attention regarding ZEROBASEONE Ricky‘s tattoo.
Many felt that his tattoo was very similar to G-Dragon‘s famous archangel Michael tattoo on the back of his neck.
G-Dragon previously revealed that he started to grow his hair long to hide his tattoo from his parents.
With this, many people felt that Ricky’s tattoo on his rib was almost identical to G-Dragon’s tattoo.
Turns out, G-Dragon has been his role model and the reason he dreamed of becoming a K-Pop idol.
He also mentioned G-Dragon in an interview, stating that he was the reason he started gaining interest in K-Pop.
G-Dragon’s ‘Black.’ I fell in love after watching this performance in elementary school. I wondered how this person could be so cool. Then, I started to watch more stage performances and slowly became interested in K-Pop. I think just like how this song made me who I am today, this song is what made me want to become a singer.

However, Korean netizens were divided on his tattoo.
- “But isn’t it disrespectful to copy someone’s tattoo?”
- “Unless it’s a really popular design, tattooists usually don’t use the same design again. It is considered disrespectful.”
- “But are there tattooists that do the same designs, though? Another person’s design, I mean.”
- “But isn’t the archangel Michael no specific person’s design?”
- “I don’t think we should use a question mark…?”
- “After searching, it looks like the designs aren’t the same, and the details are different. The wing detail and leg position are different, and holding something in his hands was added.”
- “Hm..interesting.”
- “G-Dragon’s neck tattoo is really pretty though.”
- “Seeing this makes me want to get a tattoo now.”
- “Oh didn’t know G-Dragon was his role model. It’s interesting to see a foreign member choose G-Dragon as their role model.”
