Netizens Are Not Buying Kim Soo Hyun’s Claim Of Innocence Based On Forensic Analysis Of His Messages
On March 31, KST, actor Kim Soo Hyun held an emergency press conference to address the accusations that he dated the late actress Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor.
During the presser, the actor completely denied the allegation.

He also claimed that the previously revealed KakaoTalk messages, which implicated his involvement with Kim Sae Ron when she was a minor, were doctored. As evidence, he presented a forensic report analyzing his text messages and comparing them to the revealed KakaoTalk messages.
However, the person talking to the deceased in the 2016 messages is not the same person from the 2018 messages. To prove this, I submitted all the relevant messages — the 2016 and 2018 chats provided by the family, as well as my own recent chats with acquaintances— to a scientific forensic institution for analysis.
The result: The institution concluded that the person in the 2016 messages is not the same as the person in the 2018 messages. This has been the most painful part of this controversy.

However, netizens are not convinced of the validity of this analysis. As many pointed out, an individual could have a vast range of texting styles based on who they might be talking to. So, netizens are not buying that a forensic analysis based on tone comparison can be accurate.
