Netizens Find What Might Be SM Entertainment’s New Boy Group’s Name

SM Entertainment registered for copyright already.

SM Entertainment is scheduled to debut a new boy group in September. The group will consist of former NCT’s Shotaro, Sungchan, and SM RookiesSeunghan and Eunseok. Three unreleased trainees, including producer Yoon Sang’s son, Lee Chanyoung, will join them.

Sleuthing netizens have found what may be the potential group name. A quick check on a public copyright database showed that SM Entertainment had applied for the copyright to the name “RIIZE.” According to the website, RIIZE, along with “Rise & Realize” were copyrighted.

The copyright was applied for on May 24, 2023. Fans furthered their investigations and found that the official notice about Shotaro and Sungchan’s withdrawal from NCT was also released on May 24.

Fans began searching the name across social media platforms. A YouTube channel was already registered with “RIIZE_Official” as the username. It was registered in April 2023.

The final piece of the puzzle was the Instagram account. Fans found that the account was registered to the domain “@s*****.com.” Most emails in the company are registered under the domain “smtown.com
