On July 23, Dispatch published a bombshell report about ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin’s supposed “takeover” of Source Music’s plans to debut NewJeans to launch them under her own label, based on the advice of her shaman. The report also included some never-seen-before footage of the NewJeans’ members during their trainee period.

These video clips included the initial seven-member lineup of NewJeans (then called “the N team”) practicing “Attention” and some glimpses of their solo dance practices as well. Later, Dispatch admitted that they sourced this massive “leak” was HYBE. On the other hand, ADOR and NewJeans’ legal representatives threatened HYBE with legal action in protest of this “unauthorized release of trainee videos and personal portraits.”

A few days after the backlash, Dispatch appears to have removed all the video clips from this report, as pointed out by a netizen on the popular community site, Theqoo.

Many have seen this removal as a silent admission of wrongdoing on Dispatch’s part and harshly criticized the outlet, as well as HYBE.

  • “At their grown age, those old b*stards should know better to treat those teenagers. You idiots, the more you act like this, the more the public will criticize HYBE and side with NewJeans. Your actions are really too much.”
  • “But the clips that YouTubers took, edited, and uploaded as their own haven’t been taken down, right?”
  • “HYBE is so ugly.”
  • [Crying emoji]
  • “Why are they like this? Seriously. I’m p*ssed.”
  • “Actual trash of people.”
  • “Ugly.”
  • “What an eyesore. Should I trust them?”
  • “Dispatch really needs to be thoroughly exposed for once and for all.”
  • “They’re doing all sorts of things, really.”
