On May 19, the BBC World Service’s investigative team, BBC Eye, released a powerful new documentary titled Burning Sun, revealing how two female Korean journalists exposed sex scandals involving prominent K-Pop stars.

Former BIGBANG member Seungri was unsurprisingly mentioned as he was associated with the Burning Sun club and alleged to be a member of the notorious group chats where illegal sex videos were shared. Seungri was ultimately found guilty of arranging sex trafficking, illicit gambling, and several other charges, receiving a short year-and-a-half prison sentence.

New footage and evidence have not only shown alleged messages from Seungri but also a shocking clip of him yelling at a woman as though he might hit her before grabbing her wrist and attempting to pull her along.

It unsurprisingly raised anger, but more so that netizens are fuming that Seungri is seemingly going about his normal life after coming out of prison. In January, he was spotted hosting a fan meeting in Cambodia.

Earlier in the month, it was revealed that Seungri had been in Malaysia at the birthday party of a business tycoon with a ‘Tan Sri’ title, where he was even spotted singing “BANG BANG BANG.”

With the new footage released, netizens have expressed even more anger at Seungri’s release and his ability to perform at public events. In particular, with his recent appearances in Asian countries, including Malaysia and Cambodia, netizens want to ban him from performing at public events, especially those that earn him money.
