They’re shocked Prince William is only 42.

Recently, a tweet went viral on X (formerly Twitter), highlighting the age of William, Prince of Wales, the heir to the British throne, as the elder son of King Charles III and Diana, Princess of Wales. He celebrated his 42nd birthday on June 21.

Netizens were quick to critique Prince William’s appearance for his age, as he was thought not to have aged gracefully, and he even balded at an early age. Yet, as a young man, he was considered a heartthrob.

The comments were filled with happy birthday messages, but mainly critical netizens who were shocked to realize he was only 42. Some deemed him to look over ten years older than his actual age!

Netizens also quote-tweeted the original post, with videos and photos of men in the same age range who they deem to have aged like wine or are more conventionally attractive. K-Dramas and Korean films are known for their handsome leading men, who are often middle-aged actors. So, these took up most of the quote-tweets.

Lee Dong Wook, Park Hee Soon, and Lee Je Hoon are 42, 54, and 40, respectively.

Son Suk Ku (also known as Son Seok Koo), Gong Yoo, and Jo In Sung are 40, 44, and 42, respectively.

Ji Sung, Ju Ji Hoon, Shin Ha Kyun, and Kim Nam Gil are 47, 42, 47, and 44, respectively.
