ADOR’s Response To NJZ (NewJeans) Hiatus Announcement Draws Mixed Responses

Netizens can see things from both ends.

Recently, NJZ (NewJeans) revealed they would be taking a temporary break after the court sided with ADOR. During their performance at ComplexCon in Hong Kong, they mentioned in their closing speech that they were stepping back in respect of the court’s verdict and that the decision was not an easy one.

ADOR subsequently responded to the hiatus announcement, claiming that they would continue to try to meet the girls.

We find it unfortunate that the group continues to perform under a name other than NewJeans and has unilaterally declared a halt to activities despite the court’s ruling. ADOR will do its best for the group according to the valid exclusive contract. We hope to meet with the artists soon to discuss future plans.

In response to the statement, netizens have expressed pity for the members’ plight, but continue to stand with ADOR due to the law.

  • Why are they not following the court’s ruling?
  • I think they can just leave after paying the violation fees.
  • I just hope they end up okay. This is so unfortunate.
  • I hate all this media play.
  • Just go on your separate paths after paying the violation fees.

Many are in favor of the girls paying the appropriate contract violation fees and leaving the company to pursue their own happiness. On the other hand, ADOR claims that the members have avoided contact with the ADOR team dispatched to Hong Kong.
