On December 9, fans were shocked by JYP Entertainment‘s statement revealing that popular NMIXX member Jinni has terminated her contract with the company and would be leaving the group.

Jinni, who has been a part of NMIXX, decided to terminate her contract and leave the team for personal reasons.
We’re sorry for causing any concerns with this sudden news. This also means that going forward, all future NMIXX schedules will be carried on as a six-membered group.

As Jinni was a very popular member of one of K-Pop’s fastest-rising idol groups, fans were shocked at the news.
The news is even more surprising given that, prior to her debut, Jinni had been a trainee at JYP Entertainment for 6 years. Jinni debuted with NMIXX in February of 2022, meaning she left less than a year after her debut.
