The report highlighted that these actions by the parents were directly triggered by Dispatch‘s earlier article, which ADOR has contested, prompting the label to announce its intention to pursue legal measures.
The parents of the NewJeans’ members had strong opinions, speaking out against HYBE and Source Music. They gave various testimonies including horrifying accounts of what the girls endured under the company as trainees.
According to Minji’s mother, in the dorm that Source Music had provided for Minji when she was 13 years old, the room had mold and had roaches running around. Hyein and Haerin‘s mothers claim that they have evidence of how the company neglected the members.
