Lead actor Ryu Jun Yeol has triggered many netizens.
Comments on Netflix’s latest post advertising The 8 Show was fiercely divided. Some were excited, while many are skipping.
Many SEVENTEEN fans joked about the show’s title, as the group has a member named The8.
However, many confessed that they would skip watching The 8 Show due to Ryu Jun Yeol. The public opinion of the actor has been negative since his scandal with actress Han So Hee and Girl’s Day‘s Lee Hyeri. Some believe he even broke up with Hyeri after nearly eight years for Han So Hee. During the heated discourse online, both women spoke up, but he remained silent throughout, much to Han So Hee’s dismay, as she was accused of being a “homewrecker.” Non-surprisingly, the two broke up after just two weeks since the relationship went public.
Yet, many netizens are also flabbergasted at the hate in the comment section. Some defended Ryu Jun Yeol, saying that he did enough through his agency’s few statements and that he technically did nothing wrong.
Others simply didn’t care about a scandal, genuinely intrigued by the K-Drama itself.
Besides that, Ryu Jun Yeol has loyal fans. Some are excited to see him make his acting comeback.
