New Boy Group Members Physically Harassed And Mobbed During Very First Airport Departure
On December 27, JTBC‘s survival show, Project 7, aired its final episode, revealing the top trainees.
The top seven finalists who made it to the group’s lineup — Jinxiang, Kenshin, Minwook, Kyoungbae, Seungho, Yeojun, and Sungmin — will be active for two and a half years and promote under the name Close Your Eyes (CTE).
Recently, the pre-debut group had their first airport arrival, where things took a scary turn.
On January 2, Close Your Eyes departed from Korea, heading to Japan for the 39th Golden Disc Awards. Initial images from the media show the group outside the airport seemingly being guided for their first airport experience.
Once inside, things did not initially seem bad but took a turn as fans surrounded the group. Clips show the members unable to move at moments as they are mobbed, and fans were able to come in close contact.
the mobbing was actually worse than we saw.. yeojun and seungho even got stuck/couldn’t walk :( this is just their first airport appearance too.. oh my god pic.twitter.com/tWDmSNm9jA

At one point, it was believed that an individual spotted holding member was not security but rather a fan taking advantage of the situation.

Did you enjoy pretending to be staff or security, getting close to the kid and hugging them to satisfy your personal desires?
— OP
The members appear to be a bit shaken, but unharmed as they leave the airport’s public area. Thankfully, their arrival in Japan seemed to have gone smoother, with the group walking much easier.

Hopefully, the group’s future airport arrivals will be safer for everyone involved.
