Why A New Jack Black Song Is Going Viral On K-Pop TikTok
A new Jack Black song is going so viral even with K-Pop fans.
Recently, Illumination‘s Super Mario Bros. Movie was released. The movie stars Chris Pratt as Mario, Jack Black as Bowser, and Anya Taylor-Joy as Princess Peach.
Jack Black once again has proved just what a rockstar he is with a ballad for the film. In the original song “Peaches,” he dedicates it to our favorite princess, the one and only Princess Peach. It’s become an instant hit, with the music video even going viral on YouTube, as it has over 9M views at the time of writing.
As is the case with any viral song, it’s taken over our TikTok FYPs (For You Pages)…

So, it should be no surprise it has reached K-Pop fans too. Yet, it’s actually for a funny reason.
People are joking about the similarities between Jack Black’s “Peaches” and the iconic song of the same name by EXO‘s Kai.
It’s the title track of the K-Pop idol’s second EP. So, fans are sharing Jack Black’s song with witty captions like, “Isn’t this that one Kai song?”

This wouldn’t be the first time Jack Black had an unexpected connection with K-Pop, though. One time, he and SHINee randomly met each other at the airport.

He also met MONSTA X during MONSTA X The Holiday Show in the US. He even suggested a collab!
Good luck today. Thank you very much. I’ll see you guys down the road. One of these days we gotta do a collab.

Jack Black also famously covered K-Pop songs on Infinite Challenge.
We now need a Jack Black x Kai collaboration.
