New Pictures Of BTS's Jungkook And Jimin In The Military Published Online

On December 28 last year, BTS members Jungkook and Jimin enlisted in the military for their mandatory service. Recently, new pictures of the two were posted online, much to the fans’ surprise.

The Korean military published the picture through their official app, The Camp. It allows the public to stay in touch with trainee soldiers, which includes idols. But in a recent development influenced by BTS, the communication system on the platform changed a bit. Previously, it had a “Recommended Star Soldier” section, which listed enlisted idols and celebrities separately for fans to have better access to their relevant information. However, the BTS members, along with idols from other big management companies, were removed from this list after BIGHIT MUSIC raised issues related to intellectual property rights.

Though this change implies that the app will not post separate pictures of the idols during their service, it hasn’t eliminated the possibility of all photos. The recent pictures of Jungkook and Jimin, much like RM and V, included their fellow soldiers.

Though Jungkook’s face was mostly covered in the picture, his strong facial features stood out enough for fans to recognize him right away.

The Camp app allows users to search for an individual soldier’s page by typing in their details, from where they can access their “Squad Cafe,” where these group photos are posted. Since Jungkook and Jimin have enlisted as “Companion Soldiers,” they are training at the same base in the same group. They will also be dispatched to the same living units at the base after their training and discharged together.

Netizens are happy to see the two doing well in the military, and couldn’t help noting how they suddenly looked so much younger and cuter than ever!
