An up and coming boy group has captured the attention of netizens due to its unexpected name.
The group in concern was formed through JTBC‘s survival show, Project 7, which concluded on December 27, KST.
The top seven finalists that made it to the group’s lineup are Jinxiang, Kenshin, Minwook, Kyoungbae, Seungho, Yeojun, and Sungmin.
Apart from the lineup, the show’s finale also made a grand reveal of the group’s name, which turned out to be “Close Your Eyes.”
The group will also go by the abbreviated version on their name, CYE.
After the name reveal, fans immediately took to social media to express their dislike for it. Both domestic audiences and international ones were left flabbergasted at this unusual name choice and couldn’t find any reason behind the network choice to go with this option.
