A New NewJeans Album Is Already In The Works, According To ADOR

Even though they just released their single album OMG, it sounds like NewJeans might be releasing new music before too much longer with a new album!

The current CEO of their label ADOR, Min Hee Jin, recently had an interview with South Korean film magazine Cine21 about her work with the rookie K-Pop girl group and their enormous success so far in the industry.

During one point of the interview, Min Hee Jin was asked about how she feels about NewJeans’ successes so far, and she hinted at the group’s new album with her answer.

Cine21: NewJeans debuted receiving international attention and the 1st EP “New Jeans” became somewhat of a syndrome. How do you feel about “Ditto” and “OMG” doing even better than the first releases, ranking #1-3 on music charts, AND even making it onto the Billboard Hot 100? What was on your mind since right before “Ditto” was released?

Min Hee Jin: I feel a lot of things in my heart right now. But, to be honest, I don’t really believe in jinxes, so I’m not worried. These days, I’m working on a new album for NewJeans. It’s going to have a completely different vibe, so I hope you’re all looking forward to that. It kind of reminds me of the moment right before the “Ditto” MV was revealed. My heart was racing like it was going to burst. “Ditto” is such a meaningful song to me.

This will be the second comeback and third album that NewJeans has released since they debuted on August 1, 2022. Despite not even debuting six months ago, the girl group has already broken numerous records, most recently and most notably being the fastest K-Pop girl group to make it onto the Billboard “Hot 100” chart with the song “Ditto”.
