NewJeans’ Comeback Creates An Unexpected Viral Trend Even Before Its Release
As the monster rookies they are, NewJeans have stayed on the charts since their debut, entertaining with catchy music that features fun choreography.
The group’s song “Hype Boy” took over the Korean entertainment industry after its release, with all sorts of artists and other entertainers covering the famous track.

NewJeans seemed to have created another new trend ahead of their actual comeback.
Fans were thrilled when the group announced their comeback album Get Up would be released in July, joining the many groups returning or debuting during the month. The group also announced an official collaboration with The Powerpuff Girls, which fits them perfectly!

…fans have begun a new trend based on the bit of music found in the original comeback announcement. On TikTok, users have used the sound shared by NewJeans’s account to place their own guesses at what the choreography for “ASAP” will be like.
Many videos are meant for comedy, adding in funny and random choreography. Some even comment on the difficult nature of some of NewJeans’ footwork in other songs.
