NewJeans’ Danielle Edits Social Media Profile Allegedly In Response To BTS Jungkook’s Supportive Posts

Following BTS Jungkook‘s recent Instagram posts showing support for NewJeans, fans have noticed a change in Danielle’s Phoning app profile. The not-so-subtle edit has, however, sparked controversy and heated debate online.

Up until September 14 at 9:29 PM (KST), Danielle’s Phoning status was “ur my ☀️  on a ☁️ day~:).”

Following Jungkook’s posts on September 14, Danielle changed her status to a series of colorful hearts, “💙🩷💛💚💜,”  accompanied by a sparkle, blue cap, and pink heart with arrow emoji.

Fans interpreted Danielle’s edit as a response to Jungkook’s own posts due to the inclusion of the heart emojis — meant to represent the NewJeans members — just like the BTS star had done on Instagram.

However, the inclusion of the blue cap emoji has stirred intense debate. Fans pointed out that the emoji is always associated with former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin—she famously wore a similar cap during her first press conference after her conflict with HYBE became public.

Given BIGHIT MUSIC’s statement that Jungkook’s posts were meant to ensure young artists aren’t “dragged into disputes or used as shields,” Danielle’s use of the blue cap has been interpreted by some as aligning with Min Hee Jin, which has sparked backlash.
