NewJeans’ Fiction Becomes Min Hee Jin’s Reality Following Lawsuit Announcement

Korean news outlet Dispatch recently published an exposé about Min Hee Jin‘s alleged lies. The exposé includes text messages and photographs that contradict the former ADOR CEO’s past statements. Now, Min Hee Jin is filing a lawsuit against Dispatch.
In a statement, Min Hee Jin’s PR firm, Markol Consulting Group, named the individuals she is suing: former HYBE CEO Park Ji Won, HYBE CCO Park Tae Hee, and Dispatch reporters Kim Ji Ho and Park Hye Jin.

This is Markol Consulting Group, who is in charge of former CEO Min Hee Jin’s press and communications, alongside her legal team from Sejong Law Firm. We have filed a lawsuit for the violations of the Act on Promotion of Information and Communication Network Utilization and Information Protection with the Yongsan Police Station, against the former HYBE CEO Park Ji Won, the HYBE CCO Park Tae Hee and against the Dispatch reporters Kim Ji Ho and Park Hye Jin.

Do those names sound familiar? They did to some NewJeans fans, who drew attention to NewJeans’ “ETA” lyrics. The song, released in 2023, mentions two fictional characters named Hye Jin and Ji Won.

What if those characters aren’t so fictional after all? Some fans have theorized that “ETA” Hye Jin is Reporter Park Hye Jin and “ETA” Ji Won is former HYBE CEO Park Ji Won.
