For K-Pop fans tuning into the year-end award ceremonies, it’s been difficult to tell that NewJeans is a rookie group. From their commanding stage presence, confidence, and the hype of the crowd when they’re on stage, NewJeans has solidified themselves as a top 4th-gen group only five months into their debut.
NewJeans captivated fans from the moment they stepped on the 2022 SBS Gayo Daejeon red carpet. The members showed off their doll-like visuals in coordinating black and white dresses and immediately charmed the audience.
They completely switched up their style for their performance; the group performed their hit song “Attention” with a powerful dance break. The group wore chic athletic wear for their “Attention” stage, perfect for their youthful style.

While Bunnies, NewJeans’ fans, may have hoped for the first award show performance of their new song “Ditto,” they certainly weren’t disappointed by the group’s second song pick.

NewJeans earned attention for their trendy Y2K fashion, and member Haerin stole the audience’s heart with one iconic line.
The “omona” line from “Tell Me” was originally performed by Wonder Girls’ maknae Sohee in 2007 and was wildly popular, helping to catapult the song to new heights.
Haerin definitely did the iconic line justice and quickly went viral online.
