NewJeans‘ Hanni gave fans an update on the search for a “new” group name.
When they left ADOR, netizens noticed they stopped using “NewJeans” in their greeting.
While there was no confirmation that they couldn’t use their name, as ADOR stated their contract was still valid, the members sparked speculations when they asked fans for help with suggestions for a new name.
On January 31, Hanni surprised fans with a special voice live on Instagram.

During the broadcast, Hanni saw a comment about the group’s “new” name, and Hanni made it clear that the search was still on, pointing out that they were still looking at comments from fans.
