On October 7, the mother of NewJeans’ members spoke with Ilgan Sports. According to the mothers HYBE had maliciously deleted an incident during which Hanni was disrespected by the manager of another HYBE group.

Weirdly, they have the CCTV footage of Hanni greeting the other group but we saw that the problematic incident in which Hanni was disrespected was deleted.

In the interview, the group’s mother criticized HYBE over the alleged cover-up.

How can they claim that the problematic incident just happened to be deleted when they left the footage of Hanni greeting the members from the other group untouched?

Previously, Hanni revealed the mistreatment that she had to endure at the hands of HYBE employees and the new ADOR CEO. According to the idol, when she greeted members of another HYBE group, the group’s manager dismissingly ordered the members to ignore Hanni. When Hanni reached

The mothers also had an issue with the incoming ADOR CEO, Kim Ju Young. According to the parents, ADOR’s new CEO has been less than transparent and inept at addressing NewJeans’ grievances at the label.

During the meeting, I raised concerns about the unauthorized leak of videos related to the NewJeans members’ trainee days to online media. Two days later, I received a response from CEO Kim Ju Young, saying that the fans had filed a criminal complaint against that media outlet and Source Music, and that we could consider waiting for the results. I found that quite absurd.

In an email sent by CEO Kim, it was mentioned that the NewJeans members could file a civil lawsuit against the media outlet for violating their right to publicity. However, we should also consider that pursuing such a procedure against a media company might be viewed negatively. Furthermore, it stated that without objective evidence regarding the leak, our chances of winning might not be high. It also mentioned that ADOR had sent an official letter to Source Music and the media outlet in August but received no response.

It pointed out that there are no criminal penalties for violations of publicity rights and that even if we sue Source Music and receive a “no charge” disposition, it could be used against us. Given that fans have already filed complaints against the media outlet and Source Music, the email suggested we could consider waiting for the results. I don’t understand how they can say there are no criminal penalties and then tell us to wait for the outcome of the fans’ complaint. At the same time, despite all these considerations, they offered to provide resources necessary for the NewJeans members to proceed with a lawsuit if they wished. I find this completely contradictory and nonsensical.

Lastly, the parents expressed their concerns regarding ADOR’s new management. The parents revealed how defeated they felt but hoped that the truth will eventually see the light.

During this time, we have raised various issues with the new ADOR management, including this one, and have engaged in numerous discussions. However, nothing has been resolved over the past few months, and I am now in a state of near despair and concern for the future. All we can do at this point is hold onto the belief that the truth will prevail. Since lies cannot last forever, we have faith that the truth will eventually come to light, even if it takes time.
